Hospital mortuary fire 'deliberate'
![]() Altnagelvin mortuary basement was damaged in fire
Police believe a fire in the basement of the mortuary at Altnagelvin Hospital in Londonderry may have been started deliberately.
The alarm was raised just before 0230 BST on Monday. The basement and toilets were damaged by fire and smoke. Police are investigating the cause of the fire. Detectives at Strand Road RUC Station in Londonderry are appealing for anyone with information about the fire to contact them.
