Arrest made over road death

The incident happened in North Connel near Oban

A 23-year-old man has been arrested in connection with alleged road traffic offences in North Connel in Argyll.

A 16-year-old year old boy died following an incident on what is known locally as the Old Road, north of the access road to Lora View near Oban.

Michael Harris, of Lora View, North Connel, was discovered by a friend who called the emergency services.

Police and ambulance crews raced to the scene and the injured teenager was taken to Lorn and Islands District General Hospital in Oban where he died a short time later.

The incident happened in the early hours of Sunday morning.
