Map
The incident happened in North Connel near Oban
Police are hunting a driver after a teenager was killed in a hit-and-run incident in Argyll.

Michael Harris, 16, died after he was struck by a car in North Connel, near Oban, in the early hours of Sunday morning.

He was found by a friend who called the emergency services.

The vehicle involved, thought to be a dark coloured Volkswagen, failed to stop at the scene and was last seen on the nearby A828.

A spokesman for Strathclyde Police said inquiries into the incident were continuing.

Officers were appealing for witnesses or anyone who has information about the incident to come forward.
