| The Indonesian president Abdurrahman Wahid has for the first time explicitly stated that he will impose a state of emergency if parliament pushes ahead with plans to impeach him. Members of parliament are due to meet on Wednesday to decide whether to call for impeachment proceedings to be set up. They have accused the president of corruption and incompetence, allegations which he's denied. The BBC's Richard Galpin reports. |
