What the Scottish Sunday papers say
![]() Scotland on Sunday reports that a leading world expert has warned Scotland is failing to keep up with the rest of the UK in cancer care and treatment.
According to the Sunday Herald, a mass outbreak of meningitis in nearly half of Britain's six million pig herd has crossed the species barrier, and infected at least 38 people. They accuse government agencies of covering up the outbreak. William Hague has claimed there are only 12 days left to save the pound - and Britain's independence, says the Sunday Post. The sugar daddy lover of Big Brother contestant Elizabeth Woodcock has spoken for the first time of their age-gap romance, The Sunday Mail reports. The Scottish Mail on Sunday claims to have an astonishing set of pictures that will reignite the debate about Scotland's most celebrated mystery - the Loch Ness Monster. British voters are opposed to a devolved Scottish parliament taking control of tax revenues from Scottish oilfields, the Sunday Times Scotland claims.
