| The Indonesian president, Abdurrahman Wahid, has warned that his country will split apart if he is forced from power. He said several religious leaders in the provinces of Aceh and Irian Jaya had told him they would proclaim their independence and have him as their president, if he stepped down. Mr Wahid, who faces the threat of impeachment, also confirmed he is considering declaring a state of emergency to stop the parliament from ousting him. The BBC's Richard Galpin reports.
