Favourites win German Cup

Football: The top western German club, Schalke, have won the German Cup final, after beating the third division side, FC Union Berlin, by two goals to nil at the Berlin Olympic Stadium.

Union Berlin started off furiously and earned the best scoring chances before Schalke found their rhythm and ended the possibility of any upset result, thanks to their midfielder Joerg Boehme who scored both goals.
