WFP chief, Bertini, returns to Ethiopia
The director of the World Food Programme, Catherine Bertini, has arrived in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, at the start of a four-day visit. She'll meet officials from the government, relief agencies and international donors to review the humanitarian situation in Ethiopia. It's Miss Bertini's fourth visit to the country since being appointed the United Nations special envoy on drought in the Horn of Africa a year ago. A UN statement said that, while there'd been some improvement in living conditions, the drought recovery process was far from complete with many areas still in serious need.
