Court order on Stone stalker

An Italian man who flew to the US "to marry" Basic Instinct star Sharon Stone has been ordered to stay away from the actress and her family.

Judge Victor Reichman issued the temporary restraining order against Agostino P'Omato, 32, on Tuesday.

Stone will next appear in Basic Instinct 2 directed by John McTiernan
The court order protects Stone, 43, her San Francisco publisher husband Phil Bronstein, 50, and ther 10-month old son, Roan.

According to documents submitted to the court P'Omato went to Stone's home on 19 March.

"When asked the reason for his visit, he stated that he had come "to take Sharon Stone," the documents said.

An employee called the police, but P'Omato get to see Stone as she drove up while he was at the house.

She went into an adjacent building and P'Omato began to follow her, but was stopped by Ms Stone's driver and two men working in the garden.

Police arrived a short time later and took P'Omato to a mental hospital.

Documents submitted to the court said that P'Omato "put Ms Stone and her employees in danger".

A further hearing on the order is set for 17 April.
