Pressure mounts on US over Kyoto |

| There is growing international criticism of President Bush's decision to abandon an international treaty on global warming. The Kyoto treaty was agreed four years ago and would have forced the USA to cut the amount of carbon dioxide it produces. Mr Bush said that was not in America's economic interests.
