Spanish police detain more illegal immigrants

Police in southern Spain have detained more than one-hundred and eighty people trying to enter the country illegally by sea.

Four boats carrying the would-be immigrants from North and sub-Saharan Africa were found just off the coast near Tarifa.

Police also found the body of a man believed to have drowned while swimming ashore from one of the boats. Once identified, the immigrants will be deported back to their country of origin. Meanwhile, police in south-eastern France have discovered sixteen illegal immigrants from Morocco in a container full of onions shipped from Casablanca.
