Three questioned over Kenyan school fire
Kenyan police have detained three night-watchmen responsible for looking after a school where nearly seventy boys were killed in a suspicious dormitory fire on Monday. A police spokesman said the watchmen were held on Tuesday but that no charges had been laid against them yet, and investigations were continuing. The authorities say they believe the fire at the Kyanguli secondary school sixty-five kilometres east of Nairobi was started deliberately. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
