Drug-making chemicals seized in Colombia
The security forces in Colombia have seized large amounts of chemicals used to process cocaine and heroin. Since the beginning of March, the army said it had arrested more than three hundred people suspected of being linked to the illegal drugs trade, and seized almost seenty vehicles. The operation was carried out with help from the authorities in Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela as well as the American Drug Enforcement Administration.
