Leeds stars branded cowards

The Leeds United players Jonathan Woodgate and Lee Bowyer along with two other men accused of beating up an Asian student, were branded as cowards in court today. Prosecutor Nicholas Campbell contrasted their behaviour with that of their team-mate, defender Michael Duberry, who, he said, had shown "real courage" when he testified that Mr Woodgate had told him he had been in a fight with some Asians.
