Indian filmstar escapes plane crash
A renowned Indian film actor-turned-politician, Sunil Dutt, narrowly escaped when his plane was forced to make a crash landing.
The aircraft came down in a field, about 100 km east of Bombay. One report says Mr Dutt was slightly injured, and together with the other five people on board, was treated in a nearby hospital. Sunil Dutt starred in many Indian films before joining the Congress Party and becoming a member of parliament for Bombay in 1984. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
