Indian digifilm festival

The first international festival for films only made using digital technology has opened in the Indian capital, Delhi.

Forty-film films made by professional and amateur film makers will be screened during the festival.

There will also be workshops highlighting the benefits -- and cheapness -- of digital technology for filmakers.

Organisers of the festival say digitial technology will allow young creative Indians to make high quality films on a small budget.

The celebrated Indian filmaker, Shekhar Kapoor, who's director of the festival, said digital technology is set to revolutionise the Indian film industry.
