Indian digifilm festival
The first international festival for films only made using digital technology has opened in the Indian capital, Delhi. Forty-film films made by professional and amateur film makers will be screened during the festival. There will also be workshops highlighting the benefits -- and cheapness -- of digital technology for filmakers. Organisers of the festival say digitial technology will allow young creative Indians to make high quality films on a small budget. The celebrated Indian filmaker, Shekhar Kapoor, who's director of the festival, said digital technology is set to revolutionise the Indian film industry. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
