Cricket fans say farewell to Bradman

Mourners in Australia have been paying their last respects to one of the greatest ever cricketers, Sir Donald Bradman, at a memorial service in the city of Adelaide.

The Australian Prime Minister, John Howard, joined more than six hundred invited guests, along with leading figures from the cricketing world such as the former West Indies captain, Sir Viv Richards.

Thousands more followed the proceedings on giant television screens in cricket grounds in Adelaide and Sydney.

The service was also broadcast in India and Pakistan.

Sir Don Bradman died last month aged ninety-two.
