Wake up to summer time
Most Europeans put their clocks forward on Sunday for the start of summer time.

The change was made at 0100 GMT and puts most of the European Union two hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time.

In Britain, the clocks went forward one hour for British Summer Time.

Britons will be able to enjoy lighter evenings until 0200 on 28 October, which marks the official end of summer time.

Ireland and Portugal are also one hour ahead of GMT for Daylight Savings Time.

But the change put Finland and Greece three hours ahead of GMT.

Across the Atlantic, North America is to make the switch a week later on 1 April.
