Indian rebels kill 17
Separatist rebels in the north-east Indian state of Tripura have killed at least seventeen people, including twelve policemen, in an attack on a security patrol. Police blamed the ambush on the National Liberation Front of Tripura. The group is believed to have kidnapped and killed more than five-thousand people in the last seven years.
