	The former Soviet leader, Mikhail Gorbachev, celebrates his 70th birthday amid the rare acclaim of his fellow Russians. Derided for the last decade as the man who lost an empire, Mr Gorbachev is now being given the respect he has long enjoyed in the West. The BBC's Steve Rosenberg reports.
