Six killed in Pakistan

At least six people have been killed in sectarian violence in the North West Frontier Province of Pakistan.

The police said armed men had emerged from a van and opened fire in a crowded market in the town of Hangu, killing three Shi'ite shopkeepers.

Later, one Sunni Muslim was killed and three injured when their vehicle was attacked with a rocket.

The bodies of two other Sunni men, who the police said were shot dead in sectarian attacks, were taken to a hospital -- although the circumstances of their deaths are not clear.

No one has claimed responsibility for the killings, which come a day after a militant Sunni activist, Haq Nawaz, was hanged for killing an Iranian diplomat ten years ago.
