200 die in Venezuela's carnival

The authorities in Venezuela say some two-hundred people have died during the two days of carnival Monday and Tuesday and the weekend preceding it.

The head of Venezuela's civil defense, Angel Rangel, said one-hundred-and-fifty people had been murdered, most of them in the capital, Caracas.

The others died in traffic accidents.
