Oasis and Black Crowes to tour US
Oasis performed to 1.2m people in 2000
Brotherly rock bands Oasis and the Black Crowes have announced that they are to tour the United States together in May and June.
The two bands have been renowned for sibling rivalry - Oasis feature feuding brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher while the Black Crowes' Chris and Rich Robinson have had their share of bust-ups. The tour has already been dubbed the "brotherly love" tour.
Noel and Liam famously fought throughout their North American tour last year, before Noel dropped out during the European leg after getting fed up with his younger brother's antics. The Oasis camp is hoping that the co-headlining shows will help to boost the band's reputation in America, where they have failed to make a lasting impact. The bands have met and "get on well", according to Noel. "Chris and Liam are quite similar in the fact that they are singers and are both absolutely barking mad - the pair of them," he said. Chris Robinson married actress Kate Hudson - star of Almost Famous - in January. His band will release their latest album, Lions, in the States on 8 May.
