OSCE chairman seeks movement on Nagorno-Karabakh

The chairman of the European security organisation, the OSCE, is in Armenia to gauge views on the group's latest peace proposal for the disputed enclave of Nagorno-Karabakh.

On arrival, the chairman, Mircea Geoana, welcomed agreement between the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan to meet in Paris next week, under the auspices of President Jacques Chirac. The countries have fought over rival claims to the enclave.
