Experienced climber "My mother returned from holiday with some friends yesterday and she was met by another family member and police officers who broke the news to her. "She stayed in Glasgow last night and is, of course, upset. "Obviously we are all anxious and just waiting - we can't do anything but just wait." He added: "Norah has been doing a lot of climbing in the last five or six years with Glasgow clubs." A spokeswoman for Strathclyde Police said: "A full-scale search has been continuing throughout the day. "Obviously as time passes it gets more and more worrying."
