'Tough on crime' plan unveiled
The ten-year Crime Plan for England and Wales will be set out by Tony Blair, when he becomes the first serving Prime Minister to visit a British jail. Ministers promise a radical reform of the criminal justice system - with more prison places, and greater help with rehabilitation. The Conservatives claim - the plans would lead, to thousands of offenders being released early. The BBC's Margaret Gilmore reports.
