Workers drowned in Bolivian gold mine

At least nine people have died in Bolivia in a flooded gold mine.

The workers were trapped underground when water from a nearby river swept through the chambers of the mine.

Local authorities are still trying to rescue other trapped workers, but are being hampered by continued torrential rain.
