Milosevic's secret police chief arrested

Former Serbian secret police chief Rade Markovic has been arrested, according to reports.

Mr Markovic is considered a key ally of former Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic.

A police source told Reuters news agency that the arrest was made in connection with a car crash last year in which opposition leader Vuk Draskovic was injured and four of his associates were killed.

Serbian media said three other people were arrested in the operation.
