Youth shot in leg in attack
The attack happened in Coleraine
A youth is recovering in hospital after being shot in the leg in County Antrim.

The 17-year-old victim was abducted by a gang of masked men in Carrickfergus and shot once in the right calf.

He had been walking through the Castlemara estate when the gang struck shortly before midnight.

He was shot on a grass area behind Fergus Avenue.

An RUC spokesman said: "The incident is not sectarian and has all the hallmarks of a paramilitary-type shooting."
