The prime minister of Peru, Javier Perez de Cuellar, has called on Japan to return the disgraced former president, Alberto Fujimori, to answer charges brought by the Peruvian congress. Mr Fujimori, who has dual nationality, fled to Japan in November after his government became engulfed in a corruption scandal. Earlier, the congress voted to charge him with dereliction of duty and lift his parliamentary immunity from prosecution. The BBC's Tom Gibb reports:
