Indian retired officers visit Pakistan

An Indian delegation of twelve retired senior military officers has arrived in Pakistan to hold informal talks aimed at improving understanding between the two peoples.

The former naval chief, Admiral Ramdas, who is leading the delegation, said the week-long visit could lead to a change of heart between the two countries.

The delegation will today Saturday join a group of former senior officers from the Pakistani armed forces in Lahore. The trip has been organised by the India-Pakistan Soldiers' Initiative for Peace, launched by a former member of the upper house of the Indian parliament, Nirmila Deshpande.
