Three killed in western China earthquake

Reports from China say at least three people have been killed in an earthquake which struck a remote area of the western province of Sichuan yesterday Friday.

The earthquake, which measured six on the Richter scale, also caused a number of houses to collapse.

Provincial officials said it was difficult to contact the worst affected villages and a team had gone out to the area to help relief efforts.

It's the second 'quake to hit the region in ten days.
