In pictures: Ethiopia's Big Return
Nita Bhalla has witnessed the Ethiopian army leave the disputed border territory with Eritrea. A Temporary Security Zone will be created and United Nations peacekeepers will be deployed.
![]() Ethiopia have begun withdrawing its troops from the frontline. Thousands of infantry soldiers are involved.
![]() Tank guns were triumphantly draped in the Ethiopian flag.
![]() "After crushing the enemy, we are going home" said one soldier.
![]() The Ethiopians are taking back all their equipment including tanks, trucks and multiple rocket launchers.
![]() There were what seemed to be never endiing lines of soldiers. The operation should be complete by Friday.
![]() Some of the soldiers will be returning home, others are to be redeployed on the Ethiopian side of the border.
