Donohoe is new Mrs Robinson
Film star Amanda Donohoe has become the latest actress to bare all in the West End adaptation of the classic Sixties film The Graduate.

The 38-year-old star, best known for the TV series LA Law, follows Kathleen Turner and Jerry Hall in the role of seductress Mrs Robinson.

Stars in the audience praised Donohoe's debut. Cilla Black called it "fantastic".

The play, written by Terry Johnson, has taken £6m since opening last April.

Singer Ronnie Hilton dies

Fifties heart-throb and ballad singer Ronnie Hilton has died at the age of 75.

He had a string of hits throughout the 1950s and early 60s, including his signature tune No Other Love and the children's classic A Windmill in Old Amsterdam, which sold more than a million copies.

Hilton had been ill for sometime and had suffered several strokes.

Sixties singing star Jess Conrad said: "He was someone I looked up to tremendously when I first started out, he had so much class, which is something you need in this game.

"His death is a tremendous loss to showbusiness."

Dillon adds Euro stars to directorial debut

Gerard Depardieu and Stellen Skarsgard have joined the cast of Beneath The Banyan Trees, the directorial debut of actor Matt Dillon.

Dillon, who co-wrote the film, is the star as well as the helmer of the $17.5m (£10.9m) thriller which began shooting in Cambodia earlier this week.

Skarsgard - best known for roles in Good Will Hunting and Time Code - and French icon Depardieu join James Caan and British actress Natasha McElhone.

Birdcage actor to star opposite Lopez

Actor Dan Futterman, best known for his role as Robin William's son in the comedy The Birdcage, will star opposite Jennifer Lopez in her new film Enough.

Written by Nicholas Kazan, the thriller revolves around a woman whose marriage turns violent causing her to flee to her former lover, played by Futterman.

The film is directed by British director Michael Apted, the man behind the most recent James Bond movie The World Is Not Enough.

Stars join cast of latest Figgis film

Charlie's Angels star Lucy Liu, Burt Reynolds and Welsh actor Rhys Ifans are set to join the cast of Hotel, directed by Britain's Mike Figgis.

Friends star David Schwimmer, Julian Sands and Salma Hayek are already cast in the dark comedy, which is currently shooting in Venice.

Like Timecode, Hotel will feature four frames of simultaneous on-screen action with overlapping storylines - which culminate at the Venice Carnival.
