Kashmiri militant alliance rejects Indian ceasefire
Pakistan and Kashmiri militant separatist groups have described India's extension of its ceasefire in Kashmir as worthless. The Pakistani military spokesman, Major-General Rashid Qureshi, said it changed nothing on the ground. And the Pakistan-based United Jihad Council, an alliance of fifteen Kashmiri militant organisations, described the move as meaningless. The group includes the Lashkar-e-Toiba and the Hizbul Mujahideen. The alliance of separatist groups in Indian-adminstered Kashmir, the All-Party Hurriyet Conference, was also dismisive of the extension, saying only talks could produce a change in Kashmir.
