Scientists puzzled by spider invasion
Scientists in Australia are trying to find out why hundreds of rare poisonous spiders have set up home in a suburban garden. More than a hundred of the highly venomous mouse spiders have been caught in the past few weeks by the owners of the property, in the city of Newcastle. Experts say the mouse spider has a large pair of fangs and is more poisonous than the better known funnel web spider. From the newsroom of the BBC World Service |
