TA cadet loses hand in blast

A 14-year-old cadet has lost his hand in an explosion at a Territorial Army base in White City in west London. The teenager is believed to have picked up a torch-shaped object which exploded in his hand. Anti-terrorist officers were called to the junction of Wood Lane and South Africa Road, White City after the blast at 1910GMT on Wednesday and the base was cordoned off. The BBC's Jane Warr reports.
