Prizes and protests for Eminem

The controversial rap artist Eminem has won three awards at the Grammy ceremony, which has been taking place in Los Angeles.

About two hundred people protested outside the venue against Eminem's lyrics, which they complain are violent and offensive to women and gay people.

As well as a nominee in several categories, he was a guest performer at the ceremony, where he sang together with the gay singer Elton John.

Sir Elton has been criticised by some campaigners for endorsing Eminem -- but he says he doesn't take the rapper's lyrics seriously.

Other winners included U2, Steely Dan, and Macy Gray.
