It's a dog's life
They are making life in the Romanian capital a misery, because there are so many of them. About 300,000 wild dogs live in the city and dog bites are now a regular hazard for the human population. The mayor of the city has launched a campaign of sterilisation and extermination. But residents don't want to take the swift and obvious step of rounding up and killing the stray dogs, partly it seems because they see them as victims of communist dictatorship as the BBC's Ciprian Baltoiu reports.
