Colombia: 30 dead in clashes

Reports from Colombia say that at least thirty people have been killed in clashes between left-wing guerrilla and right-wing paramilitary groups in the north-western state of Antioquia.

A spokesman for the regional authorities, Alberto Atehortua, said they had no information as yet to which group the dead belonged, but he said officials were making their way to the remote site, to the north of the state, where the clashes are thought to have begun on Monday.
