Accident happened on motorway heading out of Belfast
The police have released the name of a man killed in an accident on the M2 motorway on Monday.

He was Kevin Jago, 24, from the Dundonald area of Belfast.

Six people were also injured in the accident.

It happened on the northbound carriageway near Sandyknowes heading out of Belfast, when a van crossed the central reservation shortly before 0700 GMT on Monday.

The northbound section between Fortwilliam and Sandyknowes was closed for a time after the accident.

John Wright from the ambulance service said the accident involved a collision between a van and car.

Mr Wright said: "One of the vehicles crossed the central reservation and hit the other vehicle head on.

"The ambulance service had three vehicles on the scene shortly after 7.00am.

"They worked alongside the fire brigade and the RUC."
