Date for 'limbs in loch' hearing
Loch Lomond search
Barry Wallace' limbs were found in Loch Lomond
The Northern Ireland man accused of killing and dismembering teenager Barry Wallace has appeared in court in Scotland following extradition from Holland.

William Beggs, who is originally from Moira, County Down, made no plea or declaration during the private hearing at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court.

He has been accused of abducting and killing 18-year-old Mr Wallace, whose severed head and limbs were found 60 miles apart.

The 37-year-old from Kilmarnock is thought likely to appear at the same court next week.

Mr Wallace, a supermarket worker, was last seen alive on 5 December 1999 in Kilmarnock.

He had been socialising with colleagues on a Christmas works' night out.

Divers found the youngster's limbs and torso in Loch Lomond and a dog walker discovered his head 60 miles away on Barassie Beach.

Mr Beggs' court appearance in Scotland followed his extradition on Tuesday from the Netherlands.

He was flown into Edinburgh Airport under police escort.
