| America's president elect George W Bush has suffered his first major setback, after one of his cabinet nominees was forced to withdraw. Linda Chavez stood down as candidate for labour secretary, after becoming embroiled in a controversy over an illegal immigrant who stayed at her home in the early 1990s. The BBC's Stephen Sackur reports
