Total eclipse of the Moon
	For nearly an hour the moon was totally eclipsed, as the earth's shadow passed across it. All over the UK, astronomers gathered around their telescopes to watch the moon slip into darkness. The best views were in the north of England, western Scotland and Northern Ireland, where the skies were the clearest. The BBC's George Eykyn reports.
