Musharraf reaches agreements with Jordan
Pakistan's military ruler, Pervez Musharraf, has ended a visit to Jordan with the signing of a cooperation agreement on science and technology. Jordan's Planning Minister, Jawad Hadid, was quoted as saying a joint council would be set up to deal with scientific exchanges, including cooperation in research on the peaceful use of nuclear energy. The two countries also signed an agreement on maritime cooperation. General Musharraf, who earlier had talks with King Abdullah, arrived in Jordan yesterday on the second leg of a three-nation tour which takes him next to Lebanon.
