Mafia suspect arrested in Calcutta
Police in Calcutta have arrested a man, Abdul Rouf, who they say is a close associate of the Bombay Mafia leader, Dawood Ibrahim. The special branch police chief Banibrata Basu said that Mr Abdul Rouf was wanted in connection with several criminal cases in Bombay, including the murder of the Hindi audio-cassette tycoon, Gulshan Kumar.
