British statement on uranium weapons
However, a report in the New York Times says the Americans have told their NATO allies that their troops should take special precautions on entering Kosovo because of the depleted uranium weapons. And the Ministry of Defence in London is coming under pressure to acknowledge the alleged health risks and carry out checks on thousands of former servicemen and women.
