Kashmir blast injures thirty

There has been an explosion outside the main telephone exchange in Srinagar, in Indian-administered Kashmir.

About thirty people who had been queuing outside the building to pay their telephone bills were injured.

Two police officers were also wounded.

No one has admitted causing the blast.

The explosion came just two days after Indian soldiers foiled an attempt by separatist militants to breach the security at the civilian airport in Srinagar.

India has extended by another month an unilateral ceasefire it started in Kashmir in an effort to begin peace talks with the militant groups. Most of the Pakistan-based militant groups have rejected India's ceasefire offer.
