| After the huge success of his first ground breaking gadget - the bagless vacuum cleaner - it seemed the British inventor James Dyson could do no wrong. So he invented a new washing machine and awaited the plaudits - but instead his invention has been the butt of much criticism. Critics say it is "very poor at cleaning" with a full load. Mr Dyson begs to differ but it does raise an interesting question about inventions and inventors. Do people really just have one new gadget in them? And should they simply quit once they have invented it? The BBC's Dominic Arkwright reports.
