Iceland's isolation
	As smaller European countries line up to join the Union, one of the most secluded and remote is determined to stay out. In the past twenty years, Iceland has changed from being one of Europe's most backward countries to one of its richest. For most Icelanders, their isolation and independence has given them an unequalled standard of living. The BBC's Humphrey Hawksley reports from Iceland:
